Up, Up & Away!

I am getting my next stamp camp & to go kit ready to go! I have decided to use the Up, Up and Away stamp set this month. I LOVE this stamp set now that I am starting to explore it some more and having a lot of fun with it!

I can't wait to finish the other 2 cards and the box that I have all sketched out on how I want to do it. In the words of Hannibal Smith  "I love it when a plan comes together".  I have been taking the kids to the beach and letting them play on the nice afternoons and I sit and figure out cards and classes. I love it! My sketch book is actually starting to look like a real sketch book instead of a bunch of blank pages.

It is nice too because I will be able to keep the price on this kit and class pretty darn reasonable! To me that is exciting too!!

Plus, I still have to edit a video for my blog in the morning, a free video tutorial on how to make a chocolate covered strawberry out of the petal cone die! So you won't want to miss that! It is the first day of my Summer Fun Edition of online classes. I have so been looking forward to these classes! Especially since my doctor I think has me on some meds that are finally helping. Granted we still don't know exactly what is wrong, but at least there is some help now for all the pain. That is always a plus! :)

Roar! Is one of my son's favorite words

This is my 6 year old son Stephen. Yes, that is a Scallop Sqare bag that I had made for him a few years ago for his birthday. He wanted the bag really bad. It is for when we go to the zoo, so he can carry his snacks, lunch, and drinks in.

Today, his bag is doubling as a helmet and with his trusty tool box tray and screwdriver he is a knight out to protect the world from dinosaurs and dragons!

And most of the time if he is not a knight he is pretending to be a T-Rex! Watch Out!!!

I had the biggest smile on his face when he came in to tell me about his "adventures" and he was "hunting for big bad beasties". But, I have to say I about died in laughter after he left the room because he was so STINKIN CUTE! Of course I had to snap a quick photo of him in his knightly gear and share it with you all.

To be completely honest I am STILL smiling and laughing as I write this because it still cracks me up with that bag on his head!! HAHAHAHAHA!

Stephen was the inspiration for one of this months cards for  my Monthly Card Club and for the Southern Girls Challenge. I found this challenge while looking for some inspiration and while I am not the Southern girls they are from AU and NZ , I am really from the US South (SC) so I hope they will still let me play ..hehe :)

I hope my members read this and find as much joy in the card I am sending them this month, as I did when I made them.

I only had so many brads, so I had to make Old Olive ones and Tempting Turquoise ones (hope they are okay with that) I think they both came out wonderful! I am going to have to order more brads just so I can make some more into invites for Stephen's birthday party next year. He is already talking about wanting these cards for his birthday after he saw them. I thought I was going to break his heart when I said I was making all the cards for the club members. But, No! He jumped right in and started stamping, and running things through the big shot for me wanting to help make them for them as well.

New Purse

I finally finished doing this card purse this last weekend.  It took a while to get it all together.  I just love the way that it turned out. I showed it to the gals that were in my Stamp Camp this last weekend and they all loved it.

I can't wait to get the cards to go inside for it and set it up as my next stamp camp in May.  There is even going to be a necklace, and a few other things to go along in the camp! My gals are very excited! Which I just love :)

Mothers Day Pin Card - Last Preview Video Tutorial

The flower on this card is actually a pretty broach for mom to wear on her special day. So you have your card and a gift all in one! You could even make the flower a little more fancy if you know how to make the fabric ones like they did at Stampin' Up! Punch Art - Fishing Father's Day Card - Free Video Tutorial

 

What dad doesn't like to go fishing? I think now it is just finding the time to do it! So as a little reminder to dad's I thought this card would be a cute on for father's day!

This card is fun, and easy at the same time. It really doesn't even take all that long to make. Which.. sometimes is a great thing!

This card measures 3 x 6 so you will need a long skinny envelope to put it in.

Card Frame For Mom - Preview Video 3

 

 

This is a fun, easy project for yet another mommy and me day! You can even make these for fathers day or any other occasion, just by the change of colors or paper. If you haven't noticed yet, I like to make things that can be used over and over. Not just for one occasion, but many. 

But seriously what mom or dad for that matter doesn't love photos of their weeones?

Wine Glass Lampshade ~ Preivew 2 video tutorial

These are really cute , easy and fun for any Mommy and Me day for mother's day tea or other activities.

Do you know the date?

We are all moved! Don't say congrats yet... I am still not unpacked. That probably wont be until next week.  I had a LOT of painting to do before unpacking. I just didn't think I could handle sleeping in a master bedroom that was Crumb Cake with an 18" Tangerine Tango racing stripe going through the middle of all the walls (even the walls in the master bathroom!) Then I had to paint the office/craftroom which my mother in law so lovingly started on. I finished the painting in there today and started to do the stenciling. It is really looking nice! I will post photos as soon as I am done and the room is ready to go again.

But with my husband being off an extra day and the clocks not working I have been off a day! Looking everywhere for a calendar - but just got my internet up and working today. I normally use the calendar that is on my email - but that is internet based.

Well while unpacking I came across a calendar that I had made and planned to make a tutorial for before I moved. Is this not cute???? I love it!

You just flip the cubes to the numbers of the date. You can see the date I made it from the photo. I feel like that was such a long time ago with this move!! HAHA!

But I made this tutorial, and got some things ready for the "Love for our parents" Mothers & Fathers Day Edition of Gettin' Crafty Online Classes. The preview for that will be starting here in just 2 weeks!!!

I better get a move on getting that craft room put together!!

LOVE IT! Faux Book

This was inspired to me by my friend Frances. She is so wonderful and always looking for inspiration for me to make creations. While I was making this tonight, she just kept saying how much she loved it, when I .... well did not! But then I normally don't like anything I make until it is finished. 

I actually used the front of a card that I did in the past for the front of this faux book. I mean I really did just rip it off the other card and put it on here...LOL I was telling Frances that I wanted it to look like this card.. but I was out of Pool Party Card Stock... 

Frances left the room for a moment and she said she was thinking to herself... "she is going to rip that off the card" and SURE ENOUGH! She walked back in the room and that is EXACTLY what I was doing! LOL That woman knows me a little to well sometimes I think.. but I LOVE it! 

Frances is actually the inspiration for the inside of my card as well. I found this quote or something like it, because it was refering to men... on a website. I was looking through the friendship quotes and found this one and thought "this is the story of my life!" and had to use it!  You may need to click the photo to pop up the true size if you want to see it, but it says "A friend is someone that knows ALL about you, and STILL likes you" LOL I LOVE IT! is that perfect or what?!?

But this little card was a lot faster than what I thought it was going to be.. I mean making the inside because of course since I ripped my other card apart to get this one it was fast...lol

but I love how it looks like one of those old fashion books that you can hide things in :) Talk about some fun! :)

Even my son was impressed by this. He has been making cards with me all day and let me know tonight that he wants to work for Stampin' Up! too. My husband asked if he wanted to go to work with him and learn to drive a forklift ... that was fun. My son said "No, that's boring daddy! I want to make cards and videos with mommy and Stampin' Up!"   Granted I am sure that will change in his life later on... but I still love it now :) 

Well I best be going, no rest and still have work to do :)

Fun Fold Valentine

 

Okay so it looks a little plain on the outside... hehe well maybe not.. but it is actually a LOT of fun! and easy to make this card.

I had a lot of fun making it, and actually had to use our Stampin' Up! flower holder to take the photo because I couldn't get the darn thing to stay closed to safe my life! HAHA! 

This fun little card will be included in my upcoming monthly card club for February. I am sure that everyone is going to love this  especially when they find out just how much fun it is going to be to remake on their own.  I am even going to be sending these out just a wee bit early so that they can have them on time for Valentines. Just in case they want to use it themselves, or for those last minute Valetine parties.  Which is what I will be having as well! 

You will be surprised to find that there isn't a whole lot of paper used for this card, but the PS I love you stamp set really makes an impact on that wow factor! 

I can't wait to hear what all my club members have to say about getting this card :) I hope you all enjoy it!  You should see it completely opened up! Talk about some fun!!
