Last weekend was Make & Take and this weekend is Birthday Card Club. Well last weekend when I was getting ready for Make & Take - I thought I had 3 other people coming besides the ones that showed up. I was just shocked that 3 people would pay but not come.
So, just to be sure I didn't make the mistake I checked when i got home. Sure enough, I got confused and had the 3 gals down for the Make & Take and not the birthday card club.. dee-ta-dee!
I didn't want to waste the paper - so did what I could to just rework some of the things I did last weekend with different colors or items.
The first one here is one I don't think I even did at a workshop of any kind ... so this is just a fun one! I even used a color that I DO NOT like ... I like the button... but for some reason I am just not a Melon Mambo/Hot Pink kinda girl - I am a blue/green kina girl all the way! But... I have some clients that do like it, and so does my daughter.. so I try :) So I used some Melon Mambo Classic Ink to stamp the Mixed Bunch flower on Whisper White CS. The flower is made from Whisper White CS and the blossom punch with a Melon Mambo button on top with some Whisper White Bakers Twine tied in a bow. I also stamped "Happy Birthday" from the hostess birthday set that I can not think of what it's name is right this moment. Sorry I am snuggled up in bed, nice and warm... so yeah not gettin out of bed...lol
This second one, I didn't change to much. You probably saw it I think earlier this week or last? not sure. But the card had Pear Pizazz where there is now So Saffron CS. I also added a flag that says Happy Birthday from "A Word For You" Stamp set in Early Espresso Classic Ink. I did trade out the Sahara Sand Classic Ink for some Tea Stain ink. It looks A LOT better in person! Other than that everything is the same on this card. Oh! and I also added... you sitting down.... an Antique Brad! One of the PRETTTTY ONES! I know I know.. someone needs to make sure I am feeling okay! that is 2 buttons and an awesome brad I am giving up for these projects!! I must be ill... these are not like my button/brad hoarding ways!!
I also used the 3/4 square punch to get the notch in the tag at the end.
I also reworked my Mojo Monday 229 card that I did for this week. I love this card and sketch, but I wanted to do something a little more simple that wouldn't take FOREVER. The put the other card out so they could see what they could do for punch art class and how it could step this card up a little bit. Although I think this card is darn cute as well :)
I changed up the button - granted this one is retired.. but I love them all the same. I really wish they would come back with this style of button at Stampin' Up! what do you think? These ones I hoard badly! But again, I am sharing so I must be feeling seriously mentally ill. (which I probably shouldn't say since both my kids are getting sick - not mentally.. just cold lol) Then I also used the Fresh Vintage SAB stamp set for the little flowers. The happy birthday is again from the birthday hostess set that I am so sorry not getting out of my nice comfy bed (it has a down mattress on it, then a down comforter too... yeah i am COMMMMFFFYYY!) to go see what the name is. I also changed the bottom using the new Framelit Accents and the new little embossing folders.. don't worry I will update this post in the morning when I get up so you can know the names of them :)
Well I think that is about it... What do you think of them? I love how you can take a card, and just change a couple of little things and it is a completely new card! I Love that!
I hope you have a great weekend!! I don't know how much posting I will get done this week as I will be busy making video tutorials for my upcoming Spring Edition for Gettin' Crafty Online Classes. Don't forget the preview week is going to start on Monday!! So make sure to check back here for some free videos! :)
Until Next time my friends!

Great cards - I found that making the same card with different colors really works - gives everyone a different perspective. Also using same set - different cards. Thanks for a great blog.
