Yes I know that I said I already made a birthday card for my daughter... well, I will just have to find someone else to give that one to, because I have made her THIS SUPER CUTE LION CARD!!!!
I had so much fun! It is so funny how I came about making this card. I started out to make a pretty cool box that I had in my mind with cards for a class for next month, well if you know me... it is very rare that I sit down at my craft desk to make one thing and actually make it... I always come up with some other completely different idea and end up making that instead! I have so many projects laid out in my head and on paper it is crazy! They never get done because i am always coming up with something I HAVE TO DO RIGHT NOW!
This little lion went from a box with cards, to a backpack note/giftcard/money holder, to just a simple boy's birthday card, to a stop sign, to a lion... do not even ask me how I got from what I started with, to what I ended up with and everything in between.. couldn't tell ya! LOL I do know that part of the inspiration for the lion came from my friend Marizell. I was on skype with her (as always) we were both working on projects of our own and chatting... some times being quiet because we were just enjoying the company and consintrating on what we were doing...lol She said "oh you could make that into a lion for Meadow's birthday party, that would make a good invitation" and away i went! ideas flying everywhere! Next thing I knew I had this little lion.
The super fun part of this little lion is that it is a money holder! or a whatever you want holder really. It is also an easel card... well not your tradional easel card I made it slightly different but a LOT more fun if you ask me :) I even gave him little feet, and a tail (that I forgot to take a photo of sorry) But he is so stinkin CUTE! I LOVE HIM! and of course I had to make 2 of them because I know Meadow will probably distroy the one, so I had to make myself one...LOL Yes, didn't you know I am really only 5 years old forever!!! :)
If you click this third photo to enlarge it you can probably see his cute little feet that I made for him. I can't wait to make other animals, or santa for christmas time or maybe a raindeer?! oooo can you tell that the ideas are still just completely streaming through my brain??? LOVE IT! I think I might be getting my mojo back!!!!! WOOHOO! Austin Powers move over!
Yes I made you a tutorial :) If you are interested in it, it is $5.00 and you can get it by simply clicking this add to cart button
