I thought I would do another quilt card to celebrate my new position on the OUTSTANDING design team of INKspirations4U! I am so EXCITED to be a part of this wonderful design team! Some of my favorite Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are on the team! SO FUN!!! I have so many ideas going through my head as to what tutorial to design especially for INK4U! I hope that you will RUN not walk but RUN over to see what everyone has in store for this fantastic Summer Edition! This also marks the 1 year anniversary of INK4U, so you will NOT want to miss out! Like it says above, I get to give away 2 memberships to my followers so after you see the brief instructions and pattern below, be sure to find out how to get your chance to win!
I actually spent some time looking on the internet for some quilting patterns. I wanted to do something different then the patterns that have been going around on cards. This card is a little smaller then the last one it is only 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 I did 4 squares across and 4 squares down.
I did use the Lattice Textured Impressions folder with my Big Shot again. I really like the way that it gives it that look of a real quilt. I used the white gel pen for the stitching. If you are going to do that I completely suggest that you do the white gel pen and then run it through the Big Shot. It is a bit of a headache if you do the "stitching" after you put it through the Big Shot.
I took some photos of how to do this pattern for you. As well as a drawn image of what pieces go where.
I do adhere it to grid paper to help keep things straight. Also if you have a 3/4" square punch it helps to keep things even straighter. I don't know why but I have the toughest time keeping the squares completely square when just cutting the paper with a paper cutter.
This pattern is 3x3 so I usually put snail adhesive on all the squares at once so that I can just focus on putting the pieces in place. Plus it seems faster when I do that. :)
As you can see from the pattern that I made for you, I also put letters on it so that maybe it would help a little more. I know that it helped me a bit so I could keep it straight of what I was doing. All those peices I sometimes forget what I am supposed to be putting where.
I used (8) Cherry Cobbler 3/4 x 3/4 squares, (4) Baja Breeze 3/4 x 3/4 squares, (4) DSP 3/4 x 3/4 squares
Cut all but the 4 corner squares in half from corner point to corner point. It also helps if you put everything where you want it on a different part of your grid paper first to see where you want things as well.
The layers as I put them on look like these, but you can put them on however it makes sense or is easier for you:
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3 and last corner parts
now put the white gel pen stitching on if you would like to. Then run through the Big Shot with your favorite texturing.
here are some more photos of the card that I did today

Congrats Cristena for becoming a member of InkSpiration's Design team!!! Ya-Hoo! I love BOTH of your quilt cards, but am partial to the baby one since I'm a sucker for pink and brown together--and I'm going to be a grandma for the first time in a couple of months! =-)

Love this quilt card. My favorite quilt pattern so far is Hunter Star. I'm in the middle of making a queen-size quilt in that pattern.
